Keywords/phrases in a tweet

A keyword can be a single term or a phrase. A phrase defines two or more words that need to be next to each other - e.g. the term "Star Wars" will pull in all tweets that have the word 'Star' followed by the word 'Wars'. If you were to type in Star Wars without quotations marks, that will collect anything that contains the words 'Star' and 'Wars' anywhere in the tweet.

When searching an keywords on Twitter, you can pull in content from up to the last 7 days. Content beyond 7 days can be accessed upon request.

Fuzzy Search

Performs fuzzy matching by retrieving tweets which mention a specified minimum number of terms out of the terms specified.

Ex. fuzzy:2 cat dog hamster pig

In the above example, two of the four words would need to be in a tweet in order for it to be collected.

Tweets within a Geo-fenced area

Click on the Geo icon to allow you to listen to conversations originating from a specific location. This can be conversations from a specific city or even down to a building level such as a football stadium.

The coordinates are SW Lon, SW Lat, NE Lon and NE Lat (The example is roughly the continental US).

You can refine your geo search by only pulling in content that mentions a specific term by adding that term to the end of geo coordinates:
